To Blog, or Not to Blog?

That really is a good question!

A lot of website owners enter into their site ownership with the best of intentions.
They’ve got lots of plans for that new site! But I frequently see those intentions get stampeded by the reality of day-to-day activities.

So time goes by and before you know it, we see information on the site such as sales events that are a year old. That has your visitors wondering if you’re even still in business!

What does this have to do with blogs? Everything.

Audio and Your Site

When I wrote this article on Flash, I realized that I should add that audio is another reason Flash isn’t good for every site. But there’s enough on the audio subject to cover in a separate post, and it is not always a Flash issue. So here it is.

Some people really want sound on their own sites. They want music playing, or sound effects when people mouse over navigation buttons, or a person who pops up and speaks about their business.

Most web surfer hate this. Seriously.

Your Competitor is Not Your Role Model

Well, I was naughty last week and didn’t do my weekly post. So this week I’ll plan on a two-fer this week.

A rule of thumb in any business is to look at competitors and if they are successful, do what they do.

Web Hosting Has Arrived!

Happy 2009! Here with are with a new year, so I am finally releasing some new services.

After all these years, I finally took the plunge and added web hosting as a service at GeekArtist Web Solutions. This is a service clients, in general, would like to have. Especially since my job often involves contacting their web host with questions, needing access to their host, and so on. This will make that process go much more smoothly since I’ll be handling the hosting.

New and existing GeekArtist Web Solutions clients do NOT have to host here to use GeekArtist for web design, SEO, and other services. This is just a service provided to make life easier for those that would like the option. (more…)
